It’s a fair cop for pop guru Pete!
It was a case of Cop Idol when pop guru Pete Waterman did the honours at an open day at Halesowen Police Station. Hundreds of people turned out to see the music mogul when he dropped in on the station in Laurel Lane to unveil the event and to meet their local bobbies.

"(Ain't Nobody Loves You) Like I Do" is a single by American singer La Toya Jackson. The song is taken from her fifth album, La Toya. It is one of only four songs by Jackson to have an accompanying music video.
The single was released in 1987 throughout Europe, excluding the United Kingdom. Despite being produced by the European trio Stock Aitken Waterman, who were big hit-producers at the time, the single failed to chart. The B-side of the single, "(Tell Me) She Means Nothing To You At All", was released as its own single in France. The 12" singles include a longer version of the song.
However, the single did fairly well on the German DJ Charts. It debuted at No. 17 and stayed on the charts for several months. She also performed the song live on German prime time television "Die Verflixte Sieben" (with Rudi Carrell). The music video for the single was given little airplay and was never released on video or DVD. It didn't surface on the internet until March of 2007.

Only the one track made with Deuce, I'm afraid.
After the problems with the release of 'No Surrender' the decision by their manager Tom watkins, was to move on.
The style of the music does not sound out of date for now, perhaps. Maybe at the time it was a little adventurous. At least Matt and I were trying to make them sound a bit different from what had gone before. The image of a band is normally a moveable feast anyway. I don't know in hindsight, if we'd have done things differently.

Sybil (born Sybil Lynch June 2, 1964, New Jersey) is an American R&B/pop singer, who has been recording since 1986. She is best known for her covers of Dionne Warwick's hits "Don't Make Me Over" and "Walk On By", which were released in 1989 and 1990 respectively. They were both Top 20 successes on the UK Singles Chart with the latter being the highest charting position for this Burt Bacharach/Hal David classic (No. 6), narrowly beating Gabrielle's version which made No. 7 in 1997.
However, it was when she signed with the UK songwriters/record producers Stock Aitken Waterman, that Sybil had the biggest success, and was particularly popular in the UK. She had two huge Top 5 smashes in 1993 - the first a version of "The Love I Lost", originally a No. 21 hit for Harold Melvin & The Bluenotes, made No. 3 and the second, "When I'm Good And Ready," an original song penned by Mike Stock and Pete Waterman reached No. 5.
Her most successful album was also released that year; Good n Ready made No. 12 on the UK Albums Chart. The same year, her U.S. album Doin' It Now was released by Next Plateau, which was distributed PolyGram Records.
Most of Sybil's hits have been covers of standards, and her career gradually evolved from dance towards soul/pop. Her last single(s) to date were released in 2006.
In 2005, she appeared in the ITV singing contest Hit Me, Baby, One More Time.
Sybil had been working in [[Miami, Florida]. One of her most current bodies of work are the tracks "Don't Give Up" and "It's Too Late," which were released by Code Red Recordings. According to our sources there are no further projects lined up with Code Red Recordings.

As the acts got bigger, the sets grew longer. Bananarama managed nine songs in thirty-five minutes, spanning seven of their most successful hit- making years. Most famous for her vocal abilities, she cut her first track in the UK, this being "Happening All Over Again", which was the first of many number 1, hits worldwide. You can never mistake the unique husky tones and powerhouse vocals of Lonnie Gordon.
Leaving the UK to return to the U.S, there was only one way for Lonnie to go and that was forward, and that she certainly did,,, with full force. Based in New York, Lonnie never stopped working, naturally doing what she only knows best, singing.
Whilst based in New York she was offered an amazing career opportunity, the lead vocalist/narrator in the world renowned Cirque Du Soliel "Zumanity" in Las Vegas. This was a bold and daring move into the theatre world for Lonnie and she leaped at the opportunity. It was here in Las Vegas, Lonnie discovered a hidden talent so to speak, Art.
Whilst working in "Zumanity" she decided to put brush to canvas and before long, filled her home with what is now known as Lalonnie's Art.

I always liked this song, it was a pure PWL sound, it was produced by Pete Hammond and Simon Cowell.
We can read from Wikipedia: Sophie initially quit her role in EastEnders to launch herself as a pop star. She enjoyed minor chart success in 1991 when her cover of Donna Summer's 1977 classic hit Love's Unkind (produced by Pete Hammond and Simon Cowell) reached number 21 in the UK singles chart. A further nine songs were recorded for an album but the project was shelved after she went on to work with the successful pop writers and producers, Stock Aitken and Waterman, recording a brand new follow-up single entitled Secrets, a track taken from Kylie Minogue's 'Rhythm Of Love album. However, the single was withdrawn before its release, her pop career stalled and she returned to acting.
