Donna Summer's comeback fails to storm the dancefloor

I didn't buy her album yet, but I love the song "Stamp Your Feet". The video is nice but poor. Here's a news by Metro Uk:

She's the nightlife diva supreme, famed for hi-NRG rudeness and more razzle-dazzle than a club full of glitter balls - so there's solid reason to hope that Donna Summer's first studio album in 17 years should be a stormer...

...Summer has exhibited plenty of eccentric turns over her career but at best she's caused unforgettable sparks with benchmark producers and songwriters, whether it's Giorgio Moroder or Stock/Aitken/Waterman...

Pick of the week: Kylie Minogue

It’s one of the laws of pop music that nobody is allowed to say a bad word about Kylie Minogue. She is an icon of our times: the girl we grew up with on Neighbours and the pop star who defied the odds to sign a contract with Stock, Aitken & Waterman and live to tell the tale...

Martika - More Than You Know (live) & I Feel The Earth Move

This wasn't a Stock, Aitken, Waterman production, but I like her. She came to Italy in 1988-89 and I remember this song and Toy Soldiers. I bought her album "Martika"!

Newton - Sometimes when we touch

This was this song chart position in Uk (I think it could reach a higher position! It's a very good production!):

Newton - Were All Alone

Bananarama Video - Nathan Jones

This is one of the Bananarama's video I prefer:

Deuce - Call It Love

This isn't a S.A.W. production:

Pete Waterman talks about Reynolds Girls

The original song I'd rather Jack:

Bret Hart - Never Been A Right Time To Say Goodbye

MAGIC`S BACK, by Malcolm McLaren, feat. Alison Limerick

Big Fun - Don`t Say It`s Over

Pretty unknown track of the successful PWL boygroup. Produced by Stock, Aitken, Waterman, but the song itself seems to be an oldie from the past...

S.A.W. Radio! Live

A pop song - I Look To You-Whitney Houston by R. Kelly

Surfing you tube I found this lovely song. The author is R.Kelly and it's dedicated to Whitney Houston. She was never produced by Stock, Aitken, Waterman.

Stamp Your Feet- Donna Summer on David Letterman (2008)

A new Album after 17 years! Today Show Interview

CD Review: Donna Summer

Call it a roller-coaster career: Few artists have risen to such great heights then dropped so tremendously as dance diva Donna Summer. In the late 1970s she was producing topnotch, genre-defining disco such as 1977's opus "I Feel Love" in Munich with music production legends Pete Bellotte and Giorgio Moroder. But by 2000 she'd been reduced to singing the theme from that Pokemon movie. Ouch. Between that, she's released some fairly dodgy pop (the bloodcurdling "She Works Hard for the Money"), some catchy fluff (the Stock-Aitken-Waterman gem "This Time I Know It's for Real") and rare flashes of brilliance ("State of Independence"). A most disjointed career, to say the least.

Eighties music heart-throb Rick Astley revealed...

Eighties music heart-throb Rick Astley revealed he was looking forward to his live appearance in Shropshire this summer, saying he still gets a “tingle” from performing.

The chart-topper who sold 40 million albums quit the business 15 years ago, when he was at his peak, and has turned down dozens of big-money offers since...

...In 1985, he caught the eye of Waterman, part of the prolific Stock Aitken Waterman hit factory, who groomed him for success...

...He has continued to tour in recent years and fans are invited to lobby him for a new record by clicking on a website link that reads: “Click here to help us persuade Rick to make a new record.”...

Mike Stock dispute

Just weeks after Mandrake disclosed that a High Court writ had been issued against Pete Waterman by his accountants over disputed claims that he owed them £525,000, I hear that his former record-producing partner Mike Stock has struck a similarly discordant note with his own bean counters...

You can read about it here, here, here.

Paul Keating and Kylie Minogue stars in UK tourism campaign

By Charles Miranda in london:

IT has been 15 years since a fresh-faced Prime Minister Paul Keating shocked the British establishment by daring to touch the Queen.

However the man dubbed "the Lizard of Oz" for his 1992 protocol breach could have a chance to do it again, with a controversial push to make him "the face" of Australia in a new tourism campaign in the UK.

The semi-retired 64-year-old Keating could take centre stage with eminent Aussies overseas such as Kylie Minogue, Elle Macpherson, Natalie Imbruglia, Greta Scacchi, Jason Donovan and other unofficial Aussie ambassadors after being short-listed to head a "G'Day UK" campaign...

Most Photogenic Celebrity

Kakko - What Kind Of Fool

This was Kakko's "What Kind Of Fool", it's a wonderful pop song. For me it's one of the best Phil Harding and Ian Curnow productions, here are the credits:

Produced & Arranged by Phil Harding and Ian Curnow for PWL
Written by Clift/Harding/Curnow
Engineer, Mixed by Phil Harding

And here she is, Kakko!

Ivana Spagna - Call Me

She's my favourite singer, Ivana Spagna. She wasn't a S.A.W. production, she writes her songs with her brother Theo (and with Larry Pignanoli in the past years). She now has a really different look but for first italian channel Rai 1, 3 months ago she celebrated her biggest hits "Easy Lady" and "Call Me". These songs were really famous in all Europe in 1986 and 1987. I bought the "Call Me" mix when I was 14 years old! It was my first record and I played it about 600 times! I think it's one of the best songs ever written. Here is her Uk chart position in the past years:

Buona Domenica 1995-Lorella Cuccarini - Mix sigle Tv n.1

Here you can see Lorella Cuccarini: she isn't a S.A.W. production, she is a very famous italian showgirl and in 1995 she danced this medley. You can see how cool is this italian performance!
