from www.southportvisiter.co.uk1980s chart star Rick Astley will compete with American pop princess Britney Spears and Irish rock legends U2 for the title of ‘Best Act Ever’ at the MTV Europe Music Awards in Liverpool on November 6.
Having recently appeared on The Dark Side of Fame with Piers Morgan, talking about his relationship with Kylie Minogue, Jason has been catapulted back into the spotlight. This is a rare chance to enjoy an original pop idol of the 80s and 90s, in anticipation of the release of his new single, and his first new album in 15 years, Let It Be Me.
“The aim is ‘all the hits and more’, it’s an opportunity to reflect on the past,” says Jason. “I think the one thing with Stock Aitken Waterman was they had great pop songs.”
“It was nothing on the scale that has been portrayed at all.
“Laura did make three visits to Matt’s studio in Buckinghamshire, when she was 16 or 17, working on an old cover from the 1960s.”
Before the single was recorded, Matt was approached by his two previous partners with an offer to collaborate with them again...
